Privacy Policy

Effective date: January 1, 2026 · Last reviewed: May 16, 2026

1. Who we are

Nisco Systems Inc. ("Nisco", "we", "us", or "our") operates the website niscosystems.com (the "Site") and provides enterprise AI implementation services. Our registered office is at Unit 905, 1 The Esplanade, Toronto, Ontario, M5E 0A8, Canada. You can reach us at info@niscosystems.com.

2. What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy describes what personal information we collect from visitors to the Site, how we use it, who we share it with, how long we keep it, and the rights you have over it. It applies to information collected through the Site and any related communications you initiate (such as our contact form or newsletter signup).

It does not apply to information you provide to us once we enter into a written services agreement — that information is governed by the confidentiality and data handling terms in that agreement.

3. Information we collect

We collect two kinds of information:

Information you give us. When you submit the contact form, we collect your name, email address, optional company name, and the message you write. When you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address. When you email us directly, we receive whatever you put in the email.

Information we collect automatically. When you visit the Site, our hosting provider and analytics service receive technical information about your visit: IP address, user agent string, the page(s) you viewed, the page that referred you, and the time of your visit. We use this for analytics, security, and rate-limiting our contact form (we record the IP of each form submission to detect abuse).

4. How we use it

  • To respond to your inquiry or contact request.
  • To send newsletters or service updates you have opted into.
  • To detect and prevent abuse of our forms (spam, automated scraping).
  • To understand how visitors use the Site — which pages are popular, where visitors come from, where they drop off — so we can improve the content and design.
  • To meet legal obligations (responding to lawful requests, maintaining records).

We do not sell personal information. We do not use your information for cross-context behavioural advertising.

5. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics (Universal property G-NM769S4VTE) to understand site usage. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to collect information about your visits. We honour the consent choice you make in our cookie banner: analytics and advertising cookies are blocked by default (via Google Consent Mode v2) until you explicitly accept them. You can change your choice at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer.

We do not use cookies for advertising or remarketing. We do use functional cookies necessary for the site to work (for example, the admin login session cookie) — these are always on regardless of analytics consent because the site can't function without them.

6. Third-party services we use

The Site is built and operated using third-party services that necessarily receive some of your information when you use the Site:

  • Vercel Inc. hosts the Site and serves all pages. Vercel sees the IP address, request details, and traffic patterns of every visit. Vercel's privacy policy: vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
  • Neon (Databricks Inc.) provides our Postgres database where contact-form submissions and newsletter signups are stored. Privacy policy: neon.com/privacy-policy.
  • Google LLC provides Google Analytics (subject to your consent above) and Gmail (used to relay contact-form notifications to our team inbox). Privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy.

These providers act as our data processors. We have selected them based on their published security and privacy practices.

7. How long we keep your information

We keep contact-form submissions and newsletter subscriptions for as long as the relationship is active, plus a reasonable retention period for record-keeping (typically up to 7 years for business correspondence under Canadian record-retention norms). Analytics data is retained per Google Analytics' default retention settings.

If you ask us to delete your information (see section 8), we will do so promptly, subject to any obligation to retain certain records (e.g., to comply with a legal request).

8. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your information (subject to legal retention obligations).
  • Withdraw consent for analytics tracking or newsletter subscriptions at any time.
  • Export a copy of your information in a portable format.
  • Complain to your local privacy regulator (in Canada: the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, or your provincial equivalent; in the EU/UK: your national data protection authority; in California: the California Attorney General).

To exercise any of these rights, email info@niscosystems.com. We will respond within 30 days. If we need to verify your identity (e.g., for a deletion request), we will ask for confirmation that you control the email address associated with the data.

9. Security

We protect your information using physical, organizational, and technical safeguards: TLS encryption in transit, encrypted storage at rest with our cloud providers, restricted access to production systems, and standard security headers on the Site (CSP, HSTS, X-Frame-Options, and others). No system is perfectly secure; if we ever become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you and any relevant regulator in line with applicable law.

10. Children

The Site is intended for business audiences. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. International transfers

Our hosting (Vercel) and analytics (Google) providers may transfer and store your information in the United States and other jurisdictions outside Canada. By using the Site, you acknowledge that your information may be processed in jurisdictions whose data-protection laws differ from those in your country. We use providers that publish industry-standard contractual safeguards for cross-border transfers.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last reviewed" date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted in an introductory note for at least 30 days after they take effect.
