AI Readiness & Governance Assessment
Find out where AI pays off - and where it does not.
What it is
A structured, vendor-neutral review of where AI will pay off in your organization - and where it will not - including your governance, privacy, and risk posture, and which models and providers fit your constraints.
Who it's for
Organizations evaluating ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or a custom build, and organizations already holding licences where adoption is uneven and nobody can say what the return has been. Particularly useful where leadership must approve AI spend without a defensible basis for the number.
What we deliver
Four phases, no surprises.
Discovery
We map your workflows, identify what is worth doing, define success metrics, and audit what we will be working with. No assumptions.
Design
We design the approach in full - including model selection, integrations, and controls - before a line of code is written.
Delivery
We build with regular demos and continuous feedback. You see progress, you give input, we adjust.
Handover
Documentation, training, and a clean handover to your team - with ongoing support available if you want it.
Every engagement is scoped to your situation, so timelines and investment depend on what you actually need. We will tell you honestly what we think makes sense - including when a smaller scope is the right answer.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is an AI readiness assessment?
An AI readiness assessment is a structured review of whether and where an organization should adopt AI, and what has to be true before it does. The assessment Nisco AI Systems runs covers stakeholder interviews, an audit of current AI usage, a prioritized use-case shortlist with effort and return estimates, a governance, privacy and risk review, and a vendor-neutral recommendation on which models and providers fit. The output is a decision document leadership can act on.
Does the assessment cover Canadian privacy requirements?
Yes. Nisco AI Systems is based in Toronto and reviews AI adoption against Canadian privacy requirements including PIPEDA and, where applicable, Quebec’s Law 25. The review covers data handling, retention, vendor obligations, and the controls needed before sensitive information goes near a language model.
What if the assessment concludes AI is the wrong tool for a use case?
Nisco AI Systems will say so. The purpose of a readiness assessment is an honest answer, including which use cases to defer or drop entirely. A shortlist of three genuinely viable use cases is a more useful result than a list of twenty that will not survive contact with production.
How much of our team’s time does an assessment require?
A few hours in total across the people interviewed, usually spread over two calendar weeks to fit around normal work, plus access to relevant documentation. Nisco AI Systems does the analysis; the client’s time commitment is interviews and document access.
